Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!

                           Happy New Year!!

So, I may not be an amazing web designer, but I sure am enthusiastic about dogs! (And reception:) ) It is New Year's Eve, and our dogs are prepping for the big "party" we will have at midnight!

Doesn't Max look excited? Most of our doggies will be fast asleep when the year changes, but sleeping is a good way to ring the new year.

Look at his adorable face! Who could say no to this lovable boy, Regis? He's "next level cute," as some of the workers around here like to say. Regis would be a good replacement on "Live! With Regis and Kelly," don't you think? Not only could they keep the name of the show, but this pup would be a lot cuter than the old Regis...

Lili is relaxing in Yari's arms. She's excited to celebrate 2012!

We took a poll of our dog's top New Year's Resolutions. Here were the most popular:
1. I will bark less! Bark!
2. Cuddle more with Mom/Dad
3. Jump up less!
4. Pose more for pictures

We also took a poll of our top employee's resolutions. Here were the most popular:
1. Work hard and stay positive!
2. Eat more fruits and veggies.
3. Smile more :D

Here is Barkley. She is our featured pic of the week! This is Sarah's puppy, wishing you a Happy 2012!

Just Another Lazy Sunday

Everything is going smoothly on this chilly Sunday morning. Everyone is ready for their morning nap, and a cup o' hot chocolate (and for the dogs, a nice, cool bowl of refreshing water!). Good morning, Rocky!

It is quiet here at the D. The pups seem to know that it is the weekend; a day off from playing, barking, howling, and mischief. They are enjoying cuddling and napping together, and all the doggies are at peace.
I guess everyone needs a little break sometimes! We are all relaxing to the soft holiday music playing over our speakers.

Smile, everyone! Curtis says it's going to be a great day :D

Curtis is our featured pic of the week! Have any great photos of your dog? Send them to Info@DisforDoggy.com and we can feature them in our blog!

Here Come the Big Dogs!

In room #3 is where we house our big dogs. Don't let their size scare you; these dogs aren't so rough and tough, as you can see from our pictures:
Frightening, hm? Nah, this is the adorable Max. Sweet face, sweet disposition.

Look at those eyes! Mopsy is a lover, not a fighter.

Daisy! Just hanging out, posing for pics. Our dogs love to model and show off.

Ahhh, Luna and Safi. Luna is a playful pup, who is mischievous and lots of fun! She has striking eyes and a lovable personality. Safi is one pretty girl; don't be fooled by her beard! She is a girly girly who loves to cuddle (She reminds me of my dog back home in Michigan, named Frisbee! Friz has a beard too, but is most certainly a girl). These two girls seemed to have found a best friend at D is for Doggy, and don't mind relaxing with each other after a long day of playing.

We love all our dogs here at the D!

It's nap time!

Many of the pups who stay at the D are big time sleepers. Obviously, Yoda, pictured above, is not. But hey, it's a cute picture of our beloved resident dog! He's watching you! Also pictured: Kira

Here is lovable Joshua, a beagle mix. He is taking the day off from the daily stresses of being a dog and is taking a little nap on our comfy couch. I'd say he looks pretty happy, wouldn't you?

Harry here is a unique dog. He can do special tricks, like the one shown above: sleeping while sitting up! He's perfectly content to sit straight up and be fast asleep. We love Harry and his silly trick!

I guess Harry's trick isn't uncommon, eh? Rocko and Plonky seemed trained in the art of sleeping while sitting up. We love laughing at our hilarious friends.

A day in the life of a D Doggy

A sweet moment with Olive and Rocko, taking a nap on our comfy, soft couches. Rocko is a sleepy, sweet little chihuahua, that everyone loves to have in their laps! Olive is playful and fun, and all the dogs love to play with her. She takes turns running and jumping around with each dog, and then takes a little nap with one of her closest friends. Today, Rocko is the lucky one!

This is Elvis, sleeping away in our window. He loves to people watch, and the people love to watch him! Neighbors and visitors alike gather around our window, and peek in to see this adorable sweetie snoozing. Pose, Elvis!

Here is Puck, loving our good friend, Kaitlyn. Who couldn't love those big, beautiful eyes? Don't you just wanna pet and give him kisses? Or an Eskimo kiss (though dogs usually have wet noses!)? The staff is sending kisses and love your way, Puck!

Welcome New Puppy!

(Pictured in Order from Left to Right: Franklin, Cooter, Rocko, Taylor)

We have a new puppy at D is for Doggy. Welcome, Cooter, the 4 month old Shiba Inu! Cooter is fitting in well with the other dogs. He likes the attention he gets in the window. He fluffs his tail and struts his stuff when people are peering in! He's also very playful with all the new dogs. Worried about bringing your shy new pup? Don't be! Cooter will be friendly and fun! This spunky pup will warm your heart.
