Dogs in Song

Our dogs are often our muses. Enjoy these photos and song lyrics about man's best friend.

"I want a dog
To walk in the park
When it gets dark, my dog will bark
At any passers-by
Oh, (oh oh) you can get lonely
I want a dog." ~ Pet Shop Boys

"I'm gonna buy me a dog [A dog, a dog! Why?]
'Cause I need a friend now. [Say, you need all the friends you can get]
I'm gonna buy me a dog." ~ The Monkees

"I love my dog as much as I love you
But you may fade, my dog will always come through." ~ Cat Stevens

"My old Blue he was a good old hound
You'd hear him hollering miles around
When I get to Heaven first thing I'll do
I'll grab my horn and call for Blue." ~ The Byrds

“How much is that doggie in the window?

The one with the waggly tail

How much is that doggie in the window?

I do hope that doggie is for sale.” ~ Patti Page

"It's true dogs are the best people
There's a church, there's a steeple
Dogs are the best people." ~ The Fauves

Little Ones

Our Yorkie trio (in order) Bela, Lily, and Sasha!

Bela likes to bask in the sun.
Lily likes to lounge on the chair.
Sasha likes to stand on the steps.
~~~~ Some more room 1 doggies! ~~~~
My co-worker's pup, Elie, is always ready for a photo op.
Marlowe demands attention! :)
Duca's tongue adds to his charm.
Plonky's adorably pink muzzle matches her favorite chair.
~~~~ Until next time... Duca and Marlowe say, "Farewell!" ~~~~

Happy New Year!! 2013 is here!!

Happy New Year from all of us here at D is for Doggy!! We have a feeling 2013 will be our best year ever, with our new location on 6th Avenue, and our ever-growing furry family! Some of our little furballs made some resolutions this year, and we wanted to share the more memorable ones.

Invite the friends over more often.

Don't hold grudges or sweat the small stuff.

Have "me" time.

Smile more often!

Make new friends.

Be proud of my accomplishments.

Never go to bed angry.

Take Yoga classes.

What were some of your resolutions this year, if you made any? Share them in the comments section! This concludes another post from us at D is for Doggy. Here's to making 2013 the best year possible!

Cheers,
Cristina

Rain Rain...

It may be raining outside, but the dogs are enjoying lounging in the comfort of our rooms.

"Rain rain..."

"...Go away..."

"...Come again..."

"...Another..."

"...Day!"

December :)

It is the first weekend in December, and we cannot believe how time is flying! Though the weather outside is chilly, our pups are cozy inside :)

Beauregard rarely leaves "his" nook in the wall :)

Foca always manages to look dignified.

Brigitte is a pro at headshot modeling :)

Garbo loves to relax on the air beds.

Graham conked out after playing all day!

Tank loves to look down on the room from his perch on the stairs.

The lovely lady Shamu is always ready to pose for a picture.
Stay warm, everyone! :)
